Warning – Don’t try this at home!

July 15, 2015

Warning – Don’t try this at home! On the subject of DIY pest control (see next post):

Gateshead Council has received reports of a number of family pets being poisoned by eating what is believed to be strychnine, a nerve poison banned in the UK. The council is urging people not to tackle rodent problems themselves, but rather seek professional advice.

Colin Huntington, the council’s service director for waste services and grounds maintenance, said: “Trying to tackle a rat problem yourself is a totally false economy. All BTP staff are fully trained to Royal Society in Public Health (RSPH) level 2 in Pest Control or equivalent and achieve their complete Continual Professional Development (CPD) points for the year! See the full article here.

Call us on 01525 863 951 or 01296 630 934 to discuss your pest issues.
